Hows Apple does it?
This one wonders after seeing their latest product. Aperture, a product for professional photographer, is definitely fantastic. You can check out the demos here http://www.apple.com/aperture/quicktours/#
With a host useful features, the product also provides a good user-interface. Some of them are really innovative and are bound to be replicated by others. A good UI is what that gives your product an unique edge.

Refrain
Stop it, dear heart, it’s been too tough already
Stop clinging to fluffy clouds, take one route steady
Stop dreaming the impossible, stop being a fool
Stop ignoring your conscience, stop breaking The Divine Rules
Stop hurting your soul, for intentions non-sincere
Stop accepting games, start reading the signs clear
Stop believing every promise, it’s time to see
Stop following every fake shine, every momentary glee
Hold it dear heart, you don’t deserve to be used
You deserve no pain, how many times have you been abused
Pray for the peace you seek, and refrain dear heart
End your deep ignorance, and a clean page start

Gadget Updates - Nokia 770

With the super-success of iPod and RIM's Blackberry, the markets ripe for pervasive devices. And many a company from M$ to Sony are jumping to grab their share.
The Internet Tablet 770 from Nokia is definitely a one to look at. Its sleak, pack with bunch of features and a powered by Linux. Though I see it does not include in-built phone capabilities and I am not sure if offline audio/video/browsing is capable.
A note says, upgrades will provide VOIP and IM. Thats cool.
The acceptability of such devices largely depends on networks of Wi-Fi Hotspots.

Is Google Readying Wi-Fi Service?
via Ashish
This PC World article on Google's interest in Wi-Fi services reports any diversification by Google.
Now these guys has lots of cash (remember the IPO?) and though search alone will help in sustaining, its not sufficient for growth.
So why not cashin the GOOGLE brand. People are biting whatever thats Google.

A Vow Divine
A silhouette of a stranger creeping on my wall
Is it you .. death angel ? is it you .. my death call ?
Hiding under layers, I cover my face
I’m still young, I thought .. I had many more days ?!
What about the mistakes ? what about every bad deed ?
The people I hurt .. The Quraan I want to read ?
The charity I forgot to give .. The prayers un-sincere ?
I peek through the blankets, but the vision unclear
Am I leaving now ? Allah, please ?
I’m sorry I was awful .. This moment I seize
Allah, it’s me .. that slave again
I crossed Your borders .. I did indeed sin
It’s me with the red, it’s me with the black
It’s the same old me, the energy I lack
To stand at Your door ..
To apologize once more ..
My tears for You .. of fear, they pour
My forehead for You .. on the rug, on the floor
You saw the worst there is of me
You saw every scene .. even the one by the sea
You were there during the dark .. You witnessed during the light
How did I miss out on Your Power .. Your Might ?
Unveil Allah the blur in my sight
Purify my soul .. my heart turn white
Guide me Allah .. to The Only Path .. right
Leave me not alone .. in this savage race
I don’t want to be left out when they see Your exalted Face
When they drink of the rivers, the milk and wine
When they meet you every Friday and their faces shine
The ‘Mu’mins’ Allah – I renew a vow Divine

RSSOwl - high ratings from me
People who are into blogsphere for their daily dose of gyan & happening, a good RSS collecting tool is a must. Its too tiresome to go to various blogs to checkout whats new. I recommend using RSSOwl, an Eclipse based product that gathers new weblog post from your favorite blogs or photo blogs.
RSSOwl has all the required features a News syndicate tool should have, and it works really nice for me. I started off with 1.1.3 preview copy, and due to some bug once lost all my favorite links. Though the tool provide options to export your RSS links in OPML format.
A 4-star for RSSOwl!!!

Net Quote
From the web:-
As I was listening to the news about Bernie Ebbers' 25-year jail sentence - longer, AFAIK, than many people get for murder - I felt a comparison stirring.
B. Ebbers: Told a pack of lies, wasted $11 billion of other people's money. Jailed for 25 years.
G.W.Bush: Told a pack of lies, wasted several hundred billion dollars of other people's money, invaded a country illegally, ignored the Geneva Conventions, and caused over 100,000 deaths. Honoured, respected, highly paid, enshrined in the White House.
Isn't "dumbocracy" wonderful?
